Nam Tai provides update on its relocation to Shenzhen, PRC

Nam Tai Electronics, Inc. announced that the Shenzhen government has agreed to release to the BVI company a parcel of land in Shenzhen, Guangming Hi-Tech Industrial Park of approximately 1.2 million square feet. The process of transferring the land to Nam Tai Electronics is expected to be completed by the end of December 2012.

The release of the land to Nam Tai Electronics is an important development for the continuity of company’s manufacturing facility. Subsequent to the relocation, the BVI company will continue to hold the existing location of its Shenzhen manufacturing facility as a significant valuable asset.

Shenzhen is a link between the Chinese mainland and HK and a transport hub in coastal southern China with the third largest airport and one of the largest freight ports in mainland China. The Shenzhen Guangming Hi-Tech Industrial Park has been developed as a research and production base for the high-tech industry.

TechFaith announced its presence at 2013 Consumer Electronics Show

BVI-registered company China TechFaith Wireless Technology Limited, focused on the research, development and design of mobile hand software, announced that it will have an expanded presence at the International Consumer Electronics Show, which will take place in Las Vegas, on 8-11 January, 2013. On the show, TechFaith plans to showcase, along with its existing range of devices, its new ruggedized smart phones and medical smart phone, built on the Android platform.

The International Consumer Electronics Show, featuring more than forty years history, is owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), which represents more than 2,000 corporate members involved in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and integration of consumer electronics products. All profits from the Show are reinvested into industry services – technical training, education, promotion, development of engineering standards, market research and legislative issues.

BVI company presented new website and video

In the end of November, Nam Tai Electronics, Inc. launched a new enhanced version of its corporate website. The purpose of the new site designed at www.namtai.com is to improve the overall experience for web visitors and includes a variety of changes in terms of appearance, usability and content.

The BVI company also presented a new corporate video that demonstrates Nam Tai’s commitment to delivering dependable performance for customers.

Koo, Executive Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Nam Tai, stated in his comments on the launhing of new website and video: “We are excited about launching our new website which has been updated and streamlined to better serve investors, customers, shareholders and the public. Ogier awarded as BVI top offshore law firm this year

Ogier BVI, the branch of the offshore firm offering legal and fiduciary services in the British Virgin Islands, remained in the leading position which it achieved also in 2011, as the only BVI firm ranked in the top tier across all categories.

The BVI law firm received tier one ranking by the Legal 500, the world’s largest referral guide for legal services, which includes 100 countries and is published annually for already 25 years. This year’s ranking was released on November 21, in which Ogier BVI was evaluated in the following sectors:

In corporate and commercial, the Legal 500 noted Ogier BVI’s work advising such clients as TPG Capital and CEMEX. The Legal 500 BVI rankings reported Ogier’s professionalism in dispute resolution, “its local knowledge and expertise.” Also, it was mentioned that the company is involved in a complex instruction brought by the liquidators of Fairfield Funds, a feeder fund to notorious Madoff scheme, as an example of its high-profile work. As regards trusts/private clients, the Legal 500 stated that Ogier BVI “not only meets the highest standards but is also a very pragmatic practice.”
